Botox Concerns?

Your Botox Cosmetic journey can be a wild rollercoaster ride. There are no words to describe the scary moment you look in the mirror and realize a fine line or deep crease is here to stay. Buckle up; as you race towards the signs-of-early-aging cliff, it may be time to consider your noninvasive options. Unfortunately, learning about Botox from friends, family, and coworkers can be bumpy, as seems like everyone has their own opinion.

Most people share three main concerns about Botox: cost, discomfort, and results. When you get these questions answered by our skincare experts at Lee Branch Dental Studio, you will find your Botox ride can be smooth and easy.

How much will my Botox session cost?

Cost is the number one question women have about any elective treatment, including Botox Cosmetic. The truth is, it is difficult to pinpoint the exact price of your individual session without seeing a Botox provider for an in-person consultation. The cost will depend on several factors, including the target location, the extent of correction, and how much product is needed. On average, a Botox Cosmetic session will cost between $150 and $600. As the results are temporary, a repeat session will be needed in three to four months.

Remember: If the price seems too good to be true, it definitely is. Bargain prices mean inexperienced injectors, low quality (or fake) Botox, and questionable results. Always consult an experienced skincare expert / licensed Botox Cosmetics provider before agreeing to any Botox treatment.

How much will my Botox injections hurt?

Botox Cosmetic is applied using a series of very small injections along the treatment area. While the needle is tiny, and each injection lasts only a few seconds, they can sting. Many women say their Botox injections feel like a quick pinch or the snap from a rubber band. This is generally well-tolerated, however, everyone handles treatment a little differently

Remember: Talk to your Botox provider about your pain concerns. He/she can offer suggestions to ease your mind, including the use of a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort during your session.

Will Botox give me the results I want?

Botox is the most popular noninvasive cosmetic treatment for one reason; botulinum toxin can dramatically smooth dynamic wrinkles. Deep forehead creases, Crow’s Feet, Frown Lines, and chin dimpling can be erased with Botox, creating a more youthful appearance. Static wrinkles, caused by a loss of skin elasticity, do not respond to Botox and instead require a dermal filler for added volume. During your Botox consultation, your provider will assess your skin to determine the right treatment for achieving the desired results.

Remember: The results from Botox are not immediate. It will take up to two weeks for your full results to appear. In about three months, these benefits will begin to fade. To extend the wrinkle-reducing results, a repeat Botox session will be necessary.
